The Kite design and technology curriculum give pupils the opportunity to learn about and practise all stages of the design process (design, make and evaluate) through a wide range of products, including structures, textiles, mechanisms, electrical systems and cooking/nutrition. In each unit of study, along with practising the key techniques and skills needed to create the product, pupils will carefully consider the purpose, design criteria and target audience and always have the opportunity to evaluate their product to consider if it is fit for purpose.
