The Kite history curriculum focuses on building a coherent chronological narrative so that pupils have a deeper understanding of historical timelines, enabling them to make comparisons among time periods and civilisations as well as better understand their influence and impact. The curriculum explores a range of themes such as migration and the treatment of different groups of people throughout history. Pupils have the opportunity to ‘think like a historian’ when analysing a wide range of sources to better understand how we have learnt about historical events and time periods.
