Music
“Music is the universal language of mankind.” – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
The Kite music curriculum enables pupils to engage critically with music and explore how music is created, produced and communicated. In each unit of study, pupils have the opportunity to compose, listen to and evaluate music from across a diverse range of genres, styles and historical periods, deepening their understanding of what music can include. The pupils use Charanga as a vehicle to develop their musicianship, practise singing, composing, performing and learning to play a musical instrument.
